Rye 51 is a purveyor of refined, yet casual, clothing, footwear and accessories for the modern gentleman while Q Clothier is its bespoke, luxury counterpart. With locations across Texas, the two brands represent the rising fashion star of Owner, Mr. Raja Ratan.

With his expansion to New Orleans, Mr. Ratan is combining the Rye 51 and Q Clothier brands into a single location for the first time. For GOAT, this presented the challenge of combining the comfortable, casual experience of Rye 51, with the understated tailor-made luxury of Q Clothier. To achieve this, the material palette of the space is composed of luxe brass, stone, and textiles, juxtaposed against industrial touches like polished concrete and raw steel. The application of these materials and the accessories that accompany them have a decidedly funky, contemporary edge. By adding a whiskey bar, ping pong table and lounge furniture, the atmosphere achieved is that of visiting the penthouse home of your most stylish friend.

Rye 51 and Q Clothier combined to make a luxury showroom shopping experience.

While the overall affect of the space is indeed luxurious, the project was accomplished on a very reasonable budget, showcasing GOAT’s talent for strategically deploying simple design elements in a way that makes the total more than the sum of its parts.
